This week’s photo challenge theme is Urban. On most days, this theme would have been a huge challenge, given that I live in a suburb in Texas. When the theme was announced, however, I was in New York to attend Alt NYC. I can’t think of a place I’d rather be to shoot this week’s challenge than downtown New York. Here are a few of the urban scenes I captured during my visit.
The theme for this week’s photo challenge is Merge. Maybe it’s because I’m a designer, I’m really drawn to images that incorporate repetition as a primary element of the composition. For this week’s challenge, I combined – or ‘merged’ – several of my photos that use repetition, focusing on images with a contrasting textures. Definitely a fun visual exercise and one of my favorite challenges so far!
