Halloween falls exactly one week after our son’s birthday and one day after our wedding anniversary, so it gets a little lost in the crowd most years. This year is no exception, but I’m trying to add a bit of festivity into the remaining days. Last night, Jenna and I baked cookies. “Let’s Make” as she says. We used this recipe from Martha Stewart.

And today, we’re having a Halloween playdate with our nanny’s adorable niece, Elizabeth. We’ll be painting pumpkins. More on that later. In the meantime, I thought I’d share my quick-change decorations that allowed me to convert birthday decor to Halloween decor with the addition of a few of spidery paper circles. My husband thought it was genius, but I think he’s my biggest fan:)
