Independence Day Highlights

We took Jason and Jenna to see their first fireworks display:

Jason and Jenna decorated the kitchen door with stars, and the next day, Jason asked that I take a picture of them. Here he is, looking very serious about his appreciation for the stars.

We enjoyed lots of treats this weekend, including spiral sugar cookies (using my favorite Martha Stewart sugar cookie recipe) and a festive fruit bedtime snack.

We also visited the Dallas Aboretum, where we saw the flower houses based on Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit series, and went to the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History.
